Dr. Matthew W. Gifford
Dr. Matthew W. Gifford grew up in the Chicagoland area. He graduated from Chicago’s Illinois College of Optometry in 1997. He completed his externship training at The Brunswick Naval Air Station in Brunswick, Maine. Dr. Gifford is Board Certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. His special interest is corneal disease. Dr. Gifford is a member of the American Optometric Association. In his spare time he enjoys travel, golf, live music, going out to dinner, and reading.
Dr. William R. Najem
William R. Najem O.D. is a graduate of The Illinois College of Optometry, and received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Kent State University. While attending the Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Najem was honored to complete an internship at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Dr. Najem has collaborated with the Vistakon Corporation on the development of the Acuvue Advance Astigmatism and Acuvue Oasis contact lenses. These new lenses are designed to enhance vision and comfort for bifocal contact lens wearers and those suffering from dry eye. On his days off, Dr. Najem can be found playing guitar, enjoying a football game, hitting a golf ball around, or exploring the great outdoors.
Dr. Jamie (Choi) Hahm
Jamie (Choi) Hahm, OD, a Chicago-native, received extensive training from the Illinois College of Optometry graduating cum laude. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Dr. Hahm has a special interest in hard-to-fit and specialty contact lenses and believes her engineering background helps patients in this area.

Dr. Hahm also enjoys volunteering her skills overseas, which have included trips to Haiti, China and Korea. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, playing volleyball and participating in triathlons. Also, she speaks conversational Korean.
